CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

We can’t wait to welcome you back to Playhouse Whitley Bay, and our number one priority is making sure your visit is as safe and fun as possible.

When you visit us we’ll be operating under the most up to date Government guidance and legislation in place supported by ASM Global's environmental hygiene protocol – VenueShield.

Our safety measures and terms of entry are under constant review and we'll keep you up to date with any changes on how we operate on this page so please read all the information below and check back regularly before attending your event.

While COVID passes and proof of vaccine status are no longer legally required the Government has advised that you must not attend an event if:

Face Coverings - The use of face coverings is encouraged for the protection of yourselves and others but this is not mandatory.

NHS Track and Trace - NHS Track and Trace QR codes are available to scan at all points of entry to the venue.

Hand Sanitisers - We have partnered with Lifebuoy to ensure that high-quality hand sanitiser is available throughout the venue.

Staff Testing - All staff working at our venue are required to provide negative results from a lateral flow test.

Enhanced Cleaning - As part of our Venue Shield programme, we have enhanced all cleaning throughout the venue before, during and after your visit.

Contactless Services - Playhouse Whitley Bay is a cashless venue and we encourage you to use contactless where possible.

Keeping You up to Date - We’ll send you all the information you need to know about your visit in advance as well as updating the information here on our website. If there’s anything you need while you’re here, our staff will be on hand to help you.
