Keith Partridge: The Adventure Game

EVENT INFORMATION

  • Date: Friday 28th February
  • Time: 7.30pm

A charity fund-raising evening hosted by Chris Jackson.

Join Keith Partridge, filmmaker and EMMY award winning cinematographer, for a “behind the scenes” presentation with stories of filming in some of the most challenging places on earth.

In a career spanning over 30 years and something like 70 films, Keith Partridge has been capturing the essence of ‘in-your-face’ adventure that continues to push the limits of television, cinema and media production in the world’s harshest environments; from the summit of Everest and the South Pole to unchartered cave systems deep in Papua New Guinea, the world’s most iconic mountain faces and first ascents of mountains and cliffs in the ‘Lost World’ of Venezuela, Oman and Greenland. Films in which he's been involved include the BAFTA Best British Film Touching The Void, the iconic Human Planet and the multi-award winning Bonington : Mountaineer.

"It's his consummate, calm ability in hairy situations that really impresses." Steve Backshall - TV Presenter and Naturalist

This event is presented by St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy to provide a life-changing experience for students and support life-changing research.

All proceeds from the sale of tickets will go towards supporting the students on their Cambodian Expedition and to Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK, two charities very close to our hearts.

In July 2020 a group of students from St. Benet Biscop Catholic Academy in Northumberland will head out on a four-week expedition to one of the poorest nations in the world, Cambodia. There they will be involved in projects to build kitchens, toilets and schools, install water systems and help with reforestation and community education projects. This work will support less fortunate communities by providing essentials that we take for granted. We know that they will learn many lessons from their expedition and will carry them in their hearts to pull out, dust down and use whenever they may need them in the future.

Book now to help great causes and enjoy a spectacular evening of adventure!
