Gillian Quinn School of Dance presents: La Fille Mal Gardée
Presented by Gillian Quinn, adapted from the choreography of Sir Frederick Ashton.
This full scale classical ballet is one of Sir Frederick Ashton's most entertaining ballets with a cast of young lovers, formidable mothers, hapless swains aided and abetted by farmhands, shepherds, assorted farm animals led by some remarkable chickens. The choreography includes the well known clog dance and the ribbon dance.
This happy ballet, where all ends well, has a continual thread of comedy which makes it particularly memorable and is a real family event.
