WPOS presents ANNIE cancelled

Posted on 19 September 2020

 STATEMENT FROM WPOS

“It is with a heavy heart that WBOS have made the very difficult decision to cancel Annie 2021, and not re-arrange to a future date.
This is due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19. The government guidelines that are currently in place are too restrictive for us to stage a musical of this size and with this many cast members. There are also too many unknowns about the future, for example changes to guidelines, restrictions, rehearsal venues and theatre.
We appreciate this is extremely disappointing for all of you who were involved, but we feel we are acting in the best interests of our cast, production team and crew, and keeping everyone as safe as possible in these very uncertain times.
Show fees and tickets sales will be refunded, please bear with us while we arrange these and the committee members leading these areas will post information about this soon. You will need to contact the box office for any tickets purchased directly from the playhouse.

We’d like to thank you all for your ongoing support during which has been a very difficult time. Due to the current situation we are placing everything on hold at this time, but we will keep you all updated with future plans as and when we can make them.
Stay safe and take care.”
