Playhouse fans urged to support Go Now! LIVE: Lockdown charity concert

Posted on 06 October 2020

As audiences continue to find themsleves locked out of indoor music venues for the next few months, many of our favourite bands have chosen to adpat and find ways to entertain fans in other ways. The most popular being a live stream, where fans can watch online, whilst partying from their living rooms.

GO NOW! The Music of The Moody Blues tribute has chosen to not only put on their own live stream event, but not just from their own homes or a recording studio. The band will be playing on stage LIVE from The Harlequin Theatre in London with multiple up-close cameras. Tickets for the event are a very reasonable £12 but the best part is, when you purchase a ticket, you have the ability to donate ticket money to your chosen theatre - including Playhouse Whitley Bay!

Created over 50 years of music that has influenced musicians and fans around the world. Selling over 75 million albums, they have countless gold and platinum disks & endless awards, including the Golden Ticket Award for selling out Madison Square Garden twice in one day. The group have performed on the Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show and the Jimmy Fallon show. They opened for The Beatles on their last tour and released hit records over 5 decades. In 2018 they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Drummer Gordy Marshall - who played with the Moodies for 25 years had this to say about Playhouse audiences

''The Playhouse at Whitely Bay in one of our favourite venues to perform in the world. The setting by the sea is amazing, the staff and crew at the theatre are always happy to see us and extremely helpful, and we are always rewarded with a standing ovation. We are desperate to come back. In the meantime, I would ask everyone who knows of the Playhouse Whitely Bay to support this world class venue by buying a ticket to the GO NOW! Livestream event on Saturday 17th Oct 8PM. It’s going to be the full show as you would (and will) see it, when we next perform at the Playhouse''
