Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers statement

Posted on 23 April 2021

“Along with so many other people we were shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of the sudden passing of legendary Bay City Rollers frontman, Les McKeown. Les was a great friend of The Playhouse and was due to be back here with us in October this year for what would doubtless have been another sell out show, played to an adoring audience bedecked in tartan. He will be hugely missed. We will contact ticketholders over the coming days, but for now please join us in offering our sincere condolences to his family and all those close to him.''

Phil Smith – Playhouse Whitley Bay Theatre Director
