The Leonard Brown Show: Featuring Bobby Thompson Tribute
Local accordion champion and entertainer Leonard Brown brings his show back to the Whitley Bay Playhouse after his sell out tour of Scotland in 2018.
Leonard and his All Star Band will be taking you on a musical journey around the world with well-known popular songs and stories. Also in this variety show we have Liam Bonthrone and Kenneth Maciver, The Two Highland Lads, two fine singers paying tribute to The Alexander Brothers, Andy Stewart and Kenneth McKellar to name just a few.
One of the highlights of the show is the Bobby Thompson Tribute of 'The Little Waster' by the one and only Tony Washington. Bobby Thompson was the north east's premier comedian and was loved by so many for his unique sense of humour. Be amazed by Tony's authentic approach to how Bobby would be in the 21st Century.
