Metropolis Music presents DEXYS

  • Date: Monday 7th May 2012
  • Time: 8.30pm

Please note there will be no support for Dexys and they will be on stage at 8pm prompt.

With the name streamlined from Dexys Midnight Runners to Dexys, the band have confirmed their gig at the PLAYHOUSE due to high demand which comes prior to the release of their fourth album, ‘One Day I’m Going To Soar’ in June, their first album in 26 years.

The album, coming out through BMG Rights Management, features previous members Kevin Rowland, Mick Talbot on keyboards, Pete Williams on bass and Jim Paterson (who co-wrote some of the tracks) on trombone and will be released under the Dexys name.

It also features Neil Hubbard and Tim Cansfield on guitars, Madeleine Hyland on vocals, Lucy Morgan on viola and Ben Trigg leading the string section.

Kevin says: “We will be playing the new album in its entirety, in sequence, followed by a few Dexys favourites.  We are planning a theatrical show - hence the seated venues...”
