Whitley Bay & District Scouts

Within Whitley Bay & District there are 11 Scout Groups, each made up of a Beaver Scout Colony (age 5¾-8), a Cub Scout Pack (age 8-10½)
and a Scout Group (age 10½-14). Within the District we have an Explorer Scout Unit for the 14-18 age range and a Network Scout Unit for 18-25 year olds.

Our Groups are to be found in Cullercoats, Whitley Bay, Monkseaton and Earsdon and meetings are held on all week nights to ensure that there is always an available meeting to join.  Week nights are supplemented by many varied weekend activities ranging from visits, camping and other outdoor activities.
Scouting is a global, educational youth Movement.  In the UK Scouting is organised through the Scout Association and has a clear purpose:
To help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities.
Our aim is for young people and adults in partnership to have fun, make friends and gain life skills.
