An Evening with Charlie Landsborough

  • Date: Saturday 23rd March 2013
  • Time: 7.30pm

The ever popular singer Charlie Landsborough returns to the PLAYHOUSE in 2013.

Charlie Landsborough not only has a striking voice but also happens to be one of the nicest chaps in the business. It's not surprising then that he has dedicated fans the world over - even as far afield as Australia where his 2008 tour won him a whole host of new admirers.

Although Charlie didn't taste fame until his 50s, having spent over 20 years as a schoolteacher, his rise was meteoric and since his first big hit, What Colour Is the Wind, he has never looked back.

Having written compositions himself that have been covered by many famous artists - often making it into the British charts - Charlie mixes his own material with that of other people's as well as throwing in a good dose of humour for good measure. On stage he is as entertaining as he is melodic.

Charlie and his five-piece band are well known for keeping concert goers enthralled. His heartfelt, telling lyrics and his very human anecdotes captivate his audience wherever he performs. His music, which ranges from inspirational to country, from ballad to anthem, truly hits the spot.
