Our comments on your feedback:

We will be allocating some more dates and times for short tours of the PLAYHOUSE. These were very popular pre opening. Although patrons will know of most of the facilities we will also be including the back stage area in the tour which were previously inaccessible in the pre opening tours. The Tours will include a walk around the full building including the front of house bars, the auditorium, the dressing rooms, stage and executive box. Details with dates will be posted on the PLAYHOUSE website as soon as they are confirmed. Please note the tours are free of charge but visitors will be requested to pre book a space.

By completing and submitting this form you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and are protected by our privacy policy and agree to our competition rules.

We will use your details for administration and analysis. We may send you details of other goods and services, which may be of interest to you. The information may be provided by email, letter, telephone or other reasonable means of communication.

Thank you for your feedback. It is always read. In this section we give our answers which also will be informative for all patrons.

"Thank you for all of your suggestions for events, artists and concerts."

"The telephone system has been very troublesome for three months in which both the council and telecommunications company have endeavoured to solve these problems. We hope this has now been resolved in what has been difficult for ourselves to manage the building and you as our customers to make contact with us on a regular basis."

"Thank you to several organisations who want us to supply leaflets and/or posters to promote Playhouse events and, quote, ‘cheer up their walls’. Anyone else interested, contact our marketing department. Past event posters, particularly children’s events are (subject to availability) provided to children’s carers, homes, hospital wards free of charge."

"The Playhouse can be used for a variety of events including community carol services. Significant discounts on the normal rate or even free rental is available for North Tyneside Council approved groups. See section on Hiring the Playhouse."

"We ask for your contact information, particularly telephone number, in case of a need to contact you for any rare change of times or cancellation. You can be assured that we WILL NOT use it for telesales or provide your number to third parties."

"The PLAYHOUSE is an event lead building. It is not open generally when there are no events. When there is an event taking place we are unable to allow entry to those not attending the performance as we need to consider the health, welfare and safety of patrons, which is paramount. Patrons /parents can be assured of a secure, safe, distraction free environment."

The PLAYHOUSE does not have purpose built kitchen or cafe facilities for daily use or any space that currently could be converted for this use. The small infrequent footfall in the vicinity currently does not provide an economic case to justify these facilities or service. Should circumstances change then we would be first to pursue and review this situation. In this current harsh economic climate we would certainly not entertain even if it were practical, to ask North Tyneside Council to subsidise a low demand non essential service with so many other more important priorities on their agenda. There are many cafes in the vicinity that are well capable to cope with current demand.

We are heartened by the many positive comments received and we do appreciate them; particularly as the opening period was so hectic and the building is not fully finished yet. There are still minor works and snagging in the forthcoming months and your patience, support, feedback and time taken is very much appreciated.

Promoters or Organisers who hire the venue set the ticket prices and as to whether there are concessions or subsequent special offers. We do try to influence based on our experience when we feel it correct to do so but the ultimate decision is theirs.

Our ticketing system of booking gives patrons a wide variety of options to book tickets to suit their individual needs, requirements and convenience. Recent postcode studies show 48% of our patrons live in Cullercoats / Whitley Bay / Monkseaton and the best way to book is to use the Venue Box Office and all cash transactions incur no booking fees. In addition there’s currently free parking next to the venue.

Local Organisations do have the option to sell tickets for their shows independently and when they do so their contact or outlets will be made available if they wish us to publicise.

We are charged by debit card companies a commission on those ticket sales and hence we pass those charges on. Ticket monies belong to the Promoters of the events. We provide full knowledge of any costs in advance of any purchase. How, where and when tickets are purchased is at the personal preference of the Patron.

In the event of cancellation using the venue ticketing system a FULL REFUND is provided including in most cases ANY BOOKING FEE. This does not always happen at other venues.

The Ticketmaster ' ticketing system ' includes features which are beneficial to our patrons on health, security and safety grounds, as well as for general event marketing.

The scanning of tickets on entry allows us to quickly ensure that patrons have the correct tickets , ensuring swift entry and close monitoring of numbers in the building. Accurate information like this is important as it not only allows us to assess the situation for show start time, but it is also very important to have this information regarding occupancy in the unlikely event of an emergency.

We thank you for all your various ideas which will always be considered .With that in mind we will be forming some focus groups where regular patrons can have input into the Playhouse on a wide variety of topics including the future use of the building. Information will be circulated in near future.
