Here at the PLAYHOUSE, we pride ourselves on having two pantomimes a year - one professional and one from our community theatre group, Whitley Bay Pantomime Society.

Our professional Christmas pantomime this year, Aladdin presented by Blue Genie Entertainment, is already in full swing and has received a glowing response after only three days into the run.

Whitley Bay Pantomime Society are already preparing to take to the stage, with only weeks to go before their talented cast present the wonderful story of Dick Whittington and his Cat to panto lovers.

Encounter shipwreck and adventure in strange lands, helping Dick overcome the plots of the villainous King Rat(Boo...Hiss) and return safe and sound to London Town... OH YES YOU WILL!!
