Northumbrian Water Ellington Colliery Band and Backworth Male Voice Choir
Northumbrian Water Ellington Colliery Band and Backworth Male Voice Choir present a concert in Support of the Charity Water Aid.
The Band was formed in 1925 as a mixed instrumental group, in 1926 it became a brass band a in the following years when on to with the National Brass Band Lower Section Championships and many other contests and is view and they busiest and one of the best concert bands in the North East.
The Choir attracts members from all walks of life and enjoy supporting many local charities. Founded in 1951 by miners from Backworth Colliery they have performed at high profile venues in the both the North East and Europe.
