'Calendar Girls' presented by Whitley Bay Theatre Company

Whitley Bay Theatre company are thrilled to be performing Calendar Girls in September 2012.

Released for only a 12 month period for the amateur stage, Calendar Girls tells the story of how a group of extraordinary women, all members of a very ordinary Yorkshire WI, spark a global phenomenon by persuading one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference!

As interest snowballs, the “Calendar Girls” find themselves revealing more than they'd ever planned...

A very British story, with a very British heart, Calendar Girls is based on an uplifting and very inspiring true story that is quirky, poignant and hilarious.
